A former nurse who was battling cancer has died of coronavirus after catching it when she helped an elderly lady with dementia on the same ward.

Amanda Strudwick, 52, from Kirton, near Boston, had been given the all-clear last year but was readmitted to hospital with pleurisy and pneumonia in March.
While she was being treated, it emerged her cancer had returned.
During her time in hospital, the former care home manager befriended the woman with dementia and put her back into bed after she became disorientated and distressed.
But the elderly woman also had Covid-19 and Amanda ended up getting the virus from her.
She died in hospital, with no family present, on April 11, a few weeks after being admitted.
In her memory, her family are now spearheading a campaign to raise money for the NHS.
Her daughter Nicole, 26, from Wigtoft, said: "My mum was an amazing human being. She worked as a nurse in the NHS for many of years and then managed a little nursing home called White Gables in Kirton, Lincolnshire.
